Reddit Video Download

What Is a Reddit Video Download?

Video Link Download saves a public Reddit video as one MP4 with sound. Reddit splits the picture and the audio into separate streams, so a normal browser save is often silent. Paste the post link, pick a quality from 1080p down to 240p, or save the sound as MP3.

Updated 17 October 2026.

The page reads the post's DASH manifest, pairs a video stream with its audio, and merges them in your browser. You can also use the Reddit to MP3 converter. Nothing is installed, and the finished file is not stored on this site.

What It Checks

After you paste a link, Video Link Download checks these things before it lists formats:

• Link Authenticity: Validates Reddit post permalinks, short redd.it share links, and mobile URLs.
• Stream Availability: Reads the DASH playlist and lists the resolutions Reddit actually published, commonly 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, and 240p.
• Audio Channels: Confirms whether the post includes separate audio tracks, multi-language feeds, or is an inherently silent clip.
• Container Compatibility: Prepares universal MP4 containers or WebM alternatives for smooth playback on mobile and desktop.
• Animated Loops: Identifies silent animations and short loops for the Reddit GIF and short clip saver.

How to Use Reddit Video Downloader

Downloading Reddit videos with sound requires just four straightforward steps:

1. Copy the Reddit Link: Open Reddit on your computer or mobile app. Locate the video post, click the Share button, and select Copy Link.
2. Paste the Link: Paste the copied URL into the search input at the top of this page. Lookup initiates automatically once a complete URL is detected.
3. Select Your Preferred Quality: Choose an option under Video + Audio for an MP4 that includes the sound. The walkthrough is in how to download Reddit videos with sound.
4. Save the Video: Click Download. On an iPhone or iPad, follow save Reddit clips on iPhone and iPad.

What It Does Not Do

To safeguard user privacy and respect Reddit's platform architecture, Video Link Download maintains clear boundaries:

• Does Not Bypass Private Communities: Cannot fetch media from private, quarantined, or restricted subreddits without public access.
• Does Not Store User Content: Does not host, cache, or archive any downloaded media on remote servers. Stream merging happens locally on your device.
• Does Not Require Registration: Does not ask for accounts, passwords, or subscriptions. You can access all Reddit video downloader tools freely.
• Does Not Degrade Quality or Add Watermarks: Never stamps watermarks or compresses media beyond original source bitrates.
• Page measurement: Google Analytics measures page visits. Pasted Reddit links are not stored. Details are in the privacy policy.
